As the legislative chair of the Colo. Therapeutic Recreation Society board I decieded to start this message board and am the administrator. Now it's your turn!
Hi! I'm Rachel Wysuph, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator for the City of Wheat RIdge and I'm LOVING this message board! Great job Sarah! I'll be sure to add it to my favorites and I'm looking forward to all the possibilities/assistance this message board has to offer!
Welcome everyone! My name is Autumn Boyer and I'm a CTRS at Centennial Peaks Hospital in Louisville, an inpatient psychiatric facility serving adults and adolescents. I'm also the 2007 President of CTRS and glad to have such a resource available to us TR's in Colorado, so thank you Sarah for putting this together! Hopefully it will grow to become a great networking & informational resource for clinical, community & academic TR's as well as students emerging into the field!
Have a great day!

Hi, my name is Diane. I am a CTRS and ADC. I have been out of the field for 4 years, staying at home with my kids. I am looking to get back into the field as they get older and to maintain my certifications. I am looking for part time or volunteer work, that is fairly flexible as my kids are still young and husband travels alot! and we are fairly new to Colorado. A short summary of my experience: Director of Recreation Therapy at AZ State Veteran's Home, AZ Director of Therapeutic Recreation for the City of Albuquerque, NM Area Manager for Special Olympics, Massachusetts and New Mexico Recreation Therapist for Rio Rancho school system, New Mexico I have experience with children, adults and geriatrics. I also have experience in direct care work with people with developmental disabilities and counseling experience with people dealing with a variety of mental illness. If anyone has any recommendations of places to contact for work/volunteer opportunities please let me know. Thanks
